Leaking throttle body shaft

Using the innertube method last night looking for a vacuum leak that's getting worse, I opened the throttle to make sure the hiss wasn't from the air going past the throttle blades. All of a sudden my leak was gone. Wiggling the throttle shaft(very little play) made it come and go, but only at idle. As soon as the throttle's off the stop it seals fine. I've ehard people talk about this problem but forget- what can I do now? Is the TB rebuildable? If I have to replace it I'll probably swap in a perf. unit(prolly cheaper besides). Any tips, suggestions, vendors? Thanks,
Jeremy

There is a throttle body gasket kit GM #17113115 but I am not sure if this will cure the leak past the tb shaft. Price for the kit off of gmpartsdirect.com is $10.17.

I bought a kit for when I pull my upper intake to clean it. I figure I may ass well replace the tb gaskets as well. Kit has 3 gaskets, top plate, iac, and I haven't figured out where the third goes. I will figure that out when I pull the tb.

You should also get a tb to intake gasket GM #10105351 Price $1.88.

For around $12.00 and a little time you can see if it cures your leak. let me know.
