Lights stuck on Brights,Need help with plastic on the column

Is there an easy way to take apart the column or do I have to remove the steering wheel and all like the other switches.

Yeah, you have to pull the steering wheel to get to the cam operating the dimmer. However, the switch itself is on the firewall by the base of the steering column. A rod extends down inside the column to operate it. Check there first. If you decide the problem is at the cam inside the column, follow the instructions here:
