Logging with scanmaster

If logging through scanmaster, do you just use Tunerpro or whatever other software as you would if logging through the ALDL? Looking at buying one soon and was curious about that feature.

Yes. The scanmaster has an rj11 port (phone jack) on the back of it. I had to buy an adapter to go from rj11 to usb in order to plug it into my laptop. But once it's all connected, you log it as you would if you were using an aldl cable.

The Scanmaster already comes with a cable that has RJ11 ends on it, and an adapter for a serial port. The serial adapter always need to be installed on the end of the cable (don't try to plug the RJ11 into your laptop). If your laptop doesn't have a serial port (most new laptops don't have it), then you'll need a serial (DB9) to USB adapter. I carry those in my store, but you may also find it locally, like a Best Buy or something.

Here's the link to it in my store: http://www.turbotweakstore.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=1007-USBadapter

If you don't have the RJ11 cable and serial adapter that originally came with the Scanmaster, let me know and I can supply it,
