Looking For Front Drive Shaft Suggestions

My Typhoon came with a DynoTech front drive shaft. I have seen pictures of some of the DynoTech shafts and mine is the one with dual U joints at the transfer case side and a CV joint ant the differential side.

There is a ball thing between the dial U joints and that is what went out. Didn’t get any grease (no zert). Can this be rebuilt?

I don’t have a factory shaft to look at or use.

My Typhoon is a daily driver. I seldom go to the track (2 times in the 5 years I’ve owned it).

I need a good serviceable shaft. What should I do? What should I look for?

One for sale in that post, maybe ask him for a pic of it. The price is right. I guess in Texas, your driving it year round. I'll probably be selling my gilbert in the spring as it won't fit with a 80-e tranny.

A Gilbert is a beefy front prop shaft. It is much improved for strength and durability from the stock unit.

That dynotech is good strong unit. just call a trans shop or driveline shop and get the u-joints changed to greaseable ones and it will good.

I’m sort of strapped for cash right now. Out of a job for a while. So, paying the least is best for me right now.

I’ll check my tranie guy to see if he can fix it. I can do U joints and the problem here is /are not the U joints but the ball thing between them. The spring inside the ball and the ball are all worn out due to no grease. The U joints don’t show ware and look good.

Maybe I can find a stock shaft for right now and then later (when I get a job) look around to get this fixed, repaired or replaced with a Gilbert. Unless someone has a really good price and wants to help.
