I have a pretty loud knocking noise that is coming from the fuel rail. I checked all over with the stethescope but it is very loud on the fuel rail only. Any ideas would be a big help.
Thanks
is it a knock or a tick? if its a tick on the fuel rail its probably just the fuel injectors. they stockers are quite loud and sound like a sewing machine if you ask me.
It's a knock, pretty loud to. I never really heard anything like it before. I have know friggen idea what it could be. It is really defined when you put the stethescope on the fuel rail. Think some dirt in there or something could make it do that? I'm stumped. Please Help
check clearance between the lines and the firewall and transmission. could be that the line is bent and rubbing against one of those two behind the engine.
early syclones had a TSB for fuel lines rubbing the tunnel cause false knock, vibration, and noise. GM's fix was to stuff some insulation between the lines and tunnel.
