Lumbar pump bulbs

Mine were dry looking and had a powdery oxidation on them. I cleaned them up and they are as good as new. Anyone else have theirs look like that?

Re: Lumbar pump bulbs

What did you use to clean them up with? Were they hard also? Mine are not that bad but close. The rubber hoses are bad also. I am going to take the seats out this weekend to work on them.

Here is an update on this. I used Turtle Wax Black Chrome. The process took about 6 applications before I was satisfied with the results. The first application just cleaned off all the oxidation. With each additional application the bulb absorbed more of the product and seemed to become softer. They look much better. Here is a before and after:

Where do these bulbs attach to the seats? Mine were in the center console loose when I bought my ty.

Re: Lumbar pump bulbs

They attach to a line at the front corner on the console side of the seat. So drivers seat it would be the right front corner and passenger seat it would be the left front corner.
