Mini Gate installation

Here ya go! Some pics of how I did it.

someone lended me a spare x-over for less down-time..

I'd recomend a 90* for the top can fitting too, it might hit your CCHE..

I love it! One of the best mods i've done. I use a greddy profec-b for boost control. The cheapo flexy pipe i used makes a sick sound when the wg opens (and it's starting to rust). But when i let off the pedal, the sound of the HKS SSQV blow off valve makes up for it, kinda.
Hope this helps.

steve, nice pics, you dont happen to have any closeups of the flange welded to the crossover do ya??
The man knows something!!!!!!!!
You have to weld something to support the gate or the vibration will brake the crossover where it is welded

donno about having to support em. I've seen tons of em run w/o a support for years.. mine (progate, much heavier) has been entact for a year now with off/on daily driving.

I'd take a look at the welder.

also, is there a flex hose availible in that size made from stainless?

Naw, there's nothing supporting the wg... it's just hanging there, with zip ties! No,jk. Unfortunately, i might not have a pic on file that shows the a close-up of the flange weld. But I can tell you the flange has a small piece of pipe welded to it and the other end of that I 'c' sectioned to the general shape of the pipe. then i crawled underneath and removed the CCHE one day and kinda mocked up the flange to the x-over while it was still on the truck. I got a sharpie and outlined where i wanted it welded. Then i took the x-over off and replaced it with the loaner. (At the time it was my daily driver) I took it to work and drilled a big azz hole where it was to be welded. Then I had a guy there tig weld the flange to lines I marked out... viola!! I even went as far as brodeling out the excess material on the inside- you know, where the pipe meets the x-over. It may not be nessessary to 'port' the wg flange as i did but i had some extra time before the weekend. If you're concerned about the strength of the weld then i wouldn't do it. The guy who welded it for me is very skillful with the tig.
Mike Lee emailed me some helpful pics of a welded crossover with some measurements. They gave me a better perspective of the install before i actually started. Hmm, I think i deleted them. But if you email him he will prolly send 'em out to you too. Thanks for the compliments fellas!!
