Minni laptop model?

They also made a Libretto at 75 MHZ and 166 that are half as large as a regular laptop. They might possibly have made one at 200 also. They have a TFT screen and are pretty cool. I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro that won't work with Datamaster though. Just got an IBM Thinkpad 600x at 450 MHZ that is great and works aith DM. Check with E-bay for prices and pics.

If you are truly concerned about size, the Sony Vaio Picturebook is reputedly a very small laptop, one of the smallest, yet with a full keyboard. 600Mhz Transmeta "Crusoe" battery-saving processor. But I don't think it has any serial or parallel ports, just USB, so you would have to buy one of those USB-to-Serial converter adapters.

DataMaster uses Serial ports, while Diacom uses Parallel (printer) ports.
I have used DataMaster on a P100, P133, P166, and P233MMX and I would have to say that I would not recommend anything less than 133. A 100 or less might do the trick but it will be at a low sample rate where you might miss some frames of important data.
Once you get to 200 or better you are going to get the full amount of data or close to it, so that is the sweet spot. RAM is recommended at 32MB by the TTS company, I beleive. Hard disk space is not really important, I use 2GB drives and they work just fine.

Hey... Sorry so tardy..
I have the Toshiba Libretto 50CT. It works awesome. It has a small docking port that screws on to the back and the diacom cable hooks right into it...

The laptop is a Toshiba Libretto 50, pentium laptop. It runs diacom most of the time, but I have datamaster and all my chip burning software on it as well. It is cool because its runs off of 14volts at the "DC in" connector and it is a perfect fit on the console. You can sometimes find them on ebay etc...
I mounted it using the cup holder, using a cut down pepsi bottle, a flat piece of plastic that is a tad smaller than the bottom of the laptop, and a screw.. I cut the pepsi bottle so when the plastic sat on top it would all be flush with the top of the center console. I then drilled a hole thru the middle of the plastic and put my screw in so the threads reached down into the center of the modified plastic bottle. I then filled the pepsi bottle about half way with JB weld, sloshed it around to get some coverage everywhere and then let it dry for a day. The screw went a good way into the JB weld and once dry, held everything nicely. I then velcro'd the laptop to the flat plastic peice. So when I want to have the laptop running, I just plop it onto my contraption and pop it in the cup holder. Cant see any of the mounting stuff the laptop is in the cup holder, looks too cool and comes apart at the rip of some velcro..
