Got to thinking with my partner and decided to do some fabbing up of our own.We decided to make our own motor mount pads. The plates are 1/4 inch, the tabs will be 1'4 thick and the tube the bolts goes through will be 1/8 thick. If all goes well and lines up perfectly I was thinking about selling 5 sets to people on the board for real cheap $35 dollars for product testing on fit, quality of the pads and if they are happy with it Then I will do Group buy for the pads depending on how many people go in on this the prices will range from $40 dollars to $55.Just started on this yesterday should have one set complete for my truck to show the finished product. I want to post pics of it but it says I can't how do I change it so I can?nevr mind figured it out.

I just modded my new mounts tonight. I welded both halves together. If I didnt spend $1000 over my limit on this project I definately wouldve gotten jeff's.

Doesn't that lower left slot kinda point the wrong direction compared to the other two?

That's not the frame of the truck it's sitting on. The bolt is just resting in the slot, not started in any hole... :2cents:

Re: motor mount project

the bolts are actually just sitting in there not mounted to the frame.

You guy's need to look a little close

Just curious how long it's going to be before we hijack this thread.

I didn't think that was a frame rail, but everything else on that truck is a one-off I figured maybe the framerail was too.

and I agree they would look sweet chromed :D

Okay Lets See

1. Bought from Jeff Scott - no workie on 2wd chassis
2. Bought from Mike ( badaszbowtie@yahoo.com ) Awesome Quality and they worked
3. Remade them to look a little cleaner
4. Welded Mounts direct to chassis (lowered engine - bad idea)
5. Some call the Mock mounts a motor mount
6. Welded Mounts direct to chassis (raised engine back up - good idea)

okay that's it but they're not done yet

Re: motor mount project

see marty ED knows Marty has a distinct fear of chrome. I once showed him a chrome valve cover and he curled up on the floor in the fetal position and screamed " make the bad man stop"
