I tried my friend's 3" LM1 and didn't like it at all. Sounded too raspy. Took it out to replace with a straight pipe, much better. :2cents:

been thinking about it since its single chamber is either this or an sti exhaust just curious on what to put on

Re: muffler slp

I had the old style SLP LM 1 on my 98 LS1 Trans Am. It really isn't even a muffler. It was just a 4" expansion chamber. 3" openings that opened out to 4" in the middle. There was nothing on the inside of it. With my heads, cam and LT headers, that thing was LOUD. It sounded pretty nasty though.
I have also thought about doing that with the Ty. I don't mind some rasp but I also don't drive that truck too often, plus I am so used to having something that has some ballsy sounding exhaust. The TY was a real shocker for me to go fast without making any noise. I was used to stepping on the gas and hearing a roar or something along with the acceleration.

Had it on my ws6 trans am and loved it. I'm typically very picky on exhaust but liked the loudmouth. I would put a Corsa on anything I could though.
