A billet crankshaft is a crank made from a solid bar of extruded American steel en30b or 4330m and then the crank is machined from that one solid piece. A forged crank is molded piece of steel molded or pressed into the rough shape of a crank and machined from that point into a crank. The billet is more flexible and stronger in most cases than the forging. Also you can buy as many as you want from Bryant, Scat, Crower, Lunati etc etc. Hope this helps.
