Need help on Syclone price

Hey guys, long time no post. :D My brother has been looking at vette's but I have him talked into a Syclone!! WooHoo! Anyway, I found it in the for sale section: http://syty.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=17722

It's on autotrader as listed below:

1991 GMC SYCLONE, 14,000 mi, loaded, air, tilt, cruise, pw, locks, CD, 4.3L turbo, all original, $13,500, 515-263-1279 or 515-491-7893, Des Moines, Ia.

We might go look at it tonight. Problem is, the lady told my bro it has a salvage title. :( I know the price it dirt cheap for a regular title truck with those miles and she claims it is perfect inside and out. I guess it had some front damage. I know it Nebraska in order to get a salvage title it has to have more than 50% of the total vehicle cost in repairs to get salvaged. I don't know about Iowa though. I know what to look for as frame and damage repair goes, but I have no idea what the value of it should be. Any idea's or comments much appreciated!!

I want a Syclone in my garage!!

If you plan on owning it for a while the salvage title should not matter, but check to be sure Nebraska will let you bring a salvage title from another state to there to be titled, some states have stoped allowing it to prevent title washing.

They will allow it, or at least they did. My first Impala SS was from Wisconsin and salvaged back in 96. Will call the DMV and check to make sure though. Thanks!

I have one for sale also. I'm in Iowa City, about 100 miles East of Des Moines. See my add in the Classified section.

10sec5oh, If he does not buy this other one I will contact you. He has cash, if you have a cash price you can E-mail it to me and I will have him consider it.

Ken, No kidding! That drive sucked. Yota still not running/done yet. Been building roll cages for other people and working on my brothers truck and working 55+ hours a week. I sold the springs it had on it and buying coilovers instead. I want to compete in a few east coast events and need better articulation. Here's a pic from 3 months ago when I got the first suspension done. It had 38 inches but I need more like 50 or so.

She claims it is in "show" condition. Will see. I'm leaving in about 2 hours to go and look at it. Hopefully it's nice and I bring it home. :)

You can bring salvage titles from other states into Nebraska, i know firsthand. Looking foreward to having another active Sy/Ty/SGT member in Nebraska, hope its more than you expect!

Well, we got there and it was even nicer than I expected!! It has 2 tiny dings and one small scratch. Everything else looks new. 7 hours later and it's in the garage. I'm beat!

Splatman, will have to get together sometime soon and swap kill stories.

I just wish it was mine. Oh well, the mechanic gets the keys once in a while right?

Actually none of them are even ours. I don't own enough hammers to have a Ford in the driveway. There is a 28 foot goose neck on the side of the house now. The joys of owning trucks that are not street legal!
