Need help with wideband wires to ECM

Hello,
SO I researched what pin, and I undertand that (thank you how tune!), but my questions is how do you get them in the pin area? Do you have to purchase a ecm pin? Also do you have to unlock the wire harness from the ecm, and then unhook the harness from the adaptor?
Just a little confused!

If you need additional ECM terminals, yes, you have to obtain them. I have a bunch of ECM connectors in my stash I have cut off of engine harnesses in junkyards. I scavenge terminals complete with a wire segment from them. I'll mail you a few when I return to California after this current hoax subsides.

To insert or remove terminals from the connector:
Remove the connector from the ECM.
Remove the "lock" from the rear of the connector. This is usually blue in color, has the latch on it, and holds the wires into the shell of the connector. You can not remove or insert terminals unless this lock is removed.
To remove a terminal, you need a pick to insert from the ECM side and disengage the locking tab on the terminal, then pull on the wire to extract the terminal. I now own the tool, but you can grind flats on a paperclip to ad-lib one. Look at a terminal to understand the locking tab that needs to be depressed.
It's fussy to learn, but not difficult once you know how.

I used an old computer ATX pin connector. Practiced taking them out with the tool, and it worked! There was a write up about it. Now, get that 02 sensor out, and I am ready to start this thing!

Your local GM dealership has terminals in the service department, as part of their terminal repair kit. I asked to speak to the service manager, told him what I was doing, and he gave me couple. You can also use a paper clip to release the locking tang on the terminal.
