Welcome!!!! you joined the best site on the net!! try a few searches. Look around. Read, read and read some more. Just about everything you need to know about our trucks are on these pages. Congrats on the truck and I hope you enjoy it.

Re: New Member

Yup, see above. Tons of info here. How's your mech ability? If you like wrenching you've come to the right place. Stick with minor stuff first, plugs, timing (read and learn on this). Search and ask, ask and search.

Was the truck run at all during those 5 years? Let us know and you'll get help/opinions on starting after a long term shut down.

Again, welcome...

Do not get it out of stargae and go beat on it!!! You could lose the engine in a hartbeat. Drain the old gas out fill with 93 oct and 2-3 gal of xylene 1-2 oz of marvel mystery oil and drive like a sane person through the first tank.

I think you are the kid from Cardinal McCarrick HS. My mother is a teacher there, currently out on sick leave. I tried to meet up with you during the spring swap meet, but only ended up talking to your mother. This weekend is the fall swap meet, and NASTE will be back on Saturday again. I'm going to try to hang out by the trucks more this time, so hopefully I'll see you there.

What Tim is really trying to say is that he likes playing with High School boys, he stalks them all around North Jersey.

j/k  the post sounded kind of stalkerish to me...

Dave, you actually are right... I just reread what I wrote. About 2 weeks before the spring swapmeet, I learn from my mother (obviously a high school teacher) that one of the students in her school has a Typhoon in the family. She tracked down who it was and tried to get me in touch with the guy. It never worked out, but now its 5 or 6 months later and the same guy (i believe its the same guy, anyway) finally makes an account on here and appears out of nowhere. Ask Smaug; I'll stalk anyone with a local SyTy, age and gender are not factors.

Hopefully I seem like slightly less of a disturbing freak now.

yes, i am the kid from mccarrick. i was at the spring swap meet but i didn't talk to anyone because im only 16 and probably one of the youngest to own one of these trucks so i was a little shy talking to people. i was wondering if naste is going to the swap meet on sunday also.

welcome. just because your 16 doesnt mean you have to stay in the shadows. i was 16 when i got my ty also from my father who was the original owner when i was junior in HS. def dont beat on it, take care of it.

also, you can learn alot from the NASTE group, i think we're one of the most active syty groups in the country
