New Rear Speaker Mount for the Typhoon

When I bought the truck, the rear ash trays were cracked and hotglued together and it just looked like ass.
Broke out the tablesaw and some woodworking tools today and made myself some new mounts in about two hours.

Let me know what you guys think

damn, that actually don't look all that bad. My question would be can't 5x9's fit in there? just wondering ,most people bigger is better and there's some room left over.

i likes those, mine are all cracked up, i'm thinking along the same lines with some fiberglass

I had these from a project that i never finished, but yeah you can easily fit 6"x9" or anything smaller in there. Its painted with some texture paint and I countersunk the screws a little bit. I was going to fiberglass it but this was jut to hold me over untill I got some extra time for the glass.
