New to this board - From NC....

I've been watching this board for months now off and on and am very pleased with the expertise that you Sy/Ty owners share with new and potential owners. I would love to own one some day but for now I will just gaze in awe. I have been intriged with the concept of turbocharging since I was a teen ( 20+ years ago) but have never owned one. I'm definately NOT an import guy when it comes to cars/trucks. (let it be known that I do own 2 Honda motorcycles - 1 cruizer and 1 four wheeler). I would like to make a sleeper out of one of my other vehicles and I believe the 4.3 Turbo might do the trick. Soooo, I will probably be asking some seemingly dumb questions in the future..... just please be patient with me.

Thanks,
Michael..............

Come on Michael..... buy yourself a Sy or Ty and jump on in... it's fun, but can be expensive.. and you have to enjoy turning a wrench! :D

Re: New to this board - From NC....

Would love to be able to afford one now. Single Parent, one kid in college and the other on the way........... Money will be pretty tight for years to come. :(

I've been watching post on these rides and drooling.......... Unfortunately I inherited 2 classic trucks (67 & 68 C10 Customs) Soooo... it is my intent to restore the 67 to original because 1.) it was my dads and 2.) I want to make it a tribute to him. and 3.) it's my birth year. The 68 was given to me by my uncle (my dad's brother). This is where I'm trying to engineer the 4.3 :turbo: ........ I think the truck is light enough to make it pretty quick and I can make all the mods I want to both the engine and chassis.

Besides, I couldn't find it in my heart to modify a limited production truck such as the Sy/Ty.
