Take off the DP and actually look at it??

You have an fp and boost gauge? Anything abnormal? Any data files? My truck did the same so I rebuilt it.

Idle in park = bad and in drive = ok?

Only thing that changed then is tc load.

Turned out my tranny was toasted. Off the wall but if nothing else changed then worth considering.

Thinking really outside the box but can you disconnect your tc from the flexplate and check P idle?

To check the wastegate actuator get a mighty vac pump and hook it up to the nipple on the side of the WG canister. Pump it up and see if the rod moves. If it doesn't then the diaphragm is toast. I'm not sure what pressure it's supposed to move at but 8-12 psi would likely be a good guess.

well I took the rod off and I can move the flapper (what the rod attaches to on the exhaust housing) with ease. The wastegate actuator I can't move by hand but think that's normal. Next step is to put my air compressor to the vac line connected to the actuator and see if it closes/opens I guess.

Yeah I have data logs but can't upload them from work.. and the only thing wacky is the fact that no matter how much TPS I throw at it the wastegate duty cycle stays at 100% which is weird and also shows that the wastegate isn't opening but I can hear it opening because it's loud as hell.

The iac only changes from or two 6 or 38 but haven't looked back on clean logs yet to see if that's normal but out side that there doesn't look like there's anything bad.

Yes that's correct, in park idle is a little too high like 1100 or 1200 ish. In Drive it sits perfect at 850 but I did get an iac error code 35 a few days ago and i've never changed it in this truck so im pretty sure the idle shit has to do with the iac and will replace that once I find the issue with not having boost.

The trans shifts very firm still just like the day I got it so I dont' think it's the trans or anything.. watching my rpms I don't see any slippage either.

This damn issue all started when I swapped back to the atr chip (which worked great for a few days) and jammed the ecu back up into its resting place.. im thinking maybe something got pulled or cut.. hmmmmmmm

Thanks for the ideas, keep em coming

Re: no boost.. what could the problem be?

Okey, removed and tested the wastegate actuator... it moved like normal each time I hit it with air so im guessing the diaphram is fine.. which sucks so I cleaned it up and bolted it back up...

Re: no boost.. what could the problem be?

Maybe you lose boost by a broken throttlebodygasket or upper/lower manifold gasket? That would also explain the high idle!

Have you checked the cat converter yet?

After that, pressure up the intake and listen for leaks. I'm pretty sure it's one of these two things It'd have to be a pretty big vacuum leak for it to make NO boost, however. Does the boost gauge on the dash function properly? If so then the leak may not be as bad as you'd think.

Re: no boost.. what could the problem be?

If the wg duty cycle is at 100%, disconnect the solenoid and also the line to the actuator so it can't bleed off. Be very careful but if it generates boost then you'll know it's a control issue. If no boost (8psi stock) then something else is up.

Did you spray around the intake for the vac leak check?

Re: no boost.. what could the problem be?

Maybe your waste gate puck is gone, pull your down pipe and check, unless you can tell it is there another way. Also check your throttle body vac lines and rubber plugs for cracks, maybe that big vac plug is damaged.

Vacuum leak.

can't find one, especially one large enough to bleed off all boost

I don't have a cat on the truck anymore it's been straight downpipe for two years now so I know it's not a clogged cat. I can't seem to find a vacuum leak, I sprayed around everything with carb cleaner and no surge and all my vac lines were replaced with thick quality silicone lines as I deleted the egr and such. I also zip tied everyone back when I did this.

well i've pulled the boost solenoid a few times and still no boost but didn't know I had to pull the vac line off the solenoid as well.. which one? the one that goes to the wastegate actuator canister?

hmm well when I remove the actucator rod and pin it seems very easy to move. I'd have to yank the stock downpipe and then the adapter plate im assuming in order to see the puck which sucks but i'll give that a try when I get another day to myself.

Thanks for the suggestions guys
