No more starter click

Well this past week, the truck started to make that awful click click click noise then start. I didn't want to get stranded somewhere. The wire didn't look like it had melted, so i figured it was the selenoid. Well I talked to Roberto, and asked him what i should do.
Went over to his shop on saturday, lucky the truck started. We tossed it up on the lift and pulled the old starter. Put in a rebuilt GM starter, and did the Ford selenoid relocate to the fender well. In all it was pretty easy, and now i don't have to worry about the wire getting all hot and melted. I wont get that annoying click click ever again I hope!!! How many other people have done the extra selenoid.

The starter solenoid itself can be affected by heat too, not just the purple wire. You may need to replace the solenoid or the whole starter too. If so, I recommend the Tahoe starter instead. It sounds funny compared to stock, but it works great.
