Normal IC Water Temp Range

What's the normal operating IC water temperature range for our trucks? I want to buy a gauge to monitor it and need to know the range I should get. Autometer makes a 40-120 and a 60-210 degree electrical gauge. Which one would be best?

depends on where you live.
florida:
my gauge errors out below 70, and I've seen that often in the winter.
highest temp I've seen is about 120.

Why don't you measure the temp of the incoming air instead? It is what you should be really interested in. Also if you replace your IC with an A/A unit in the future, you will be able to use your existing gauge. Autometer has a few air temps gauge, it was in a thread a few weeks ago.

the cyberdyne says it does whatever to whatever, but it doesnt.
it starts at 70 degrees on the low side, just so folks know.
i have one on my ic water output.
in 90 plus heat and in traffic, i'll see about 110-115.
same heat in cruise, about 95-105.
i have a lotta extra coolers, and fans.

I just installed my electrical 60-210 Autometer. I put the sender in the driver's side endtank of the stock CCHE. IC Mods:
-Johnson Pump
-IC Scoop
-Dual 6.5" Spal puller fans
-3/4" Heater hose
-Upper IC Wrapped in thermal barrier
-85% distilled water, 10% coolant, & 5% water wetter

93 degrees ambient cruising at 50-55 mph its stayed at about 104-108F. Did a 5-91mph pull and it peaked at 142F. Reviewed the log and did another pull (0-90) with starting temps of 114F it peaked at 152F and came right back down again to 120-125F. Whooo...toasty! After a couple miles of crusing it was back under 110F.
