Obd port

Is there in reason to have obd port disconnected for a mod/aftermarket product. Just wondering because mine is not hooked up.

I guess what do you mean by not hooked up? Not working? physically missing hook ups? It should be working unless it has been switched over to a different system,like a holley or big foot or the like. I don't know much about them systems , but I know they replace the factory ecm.

Wires are not hooked up in the back of it. They are cut.

Got obd port hooked back up and will turn on scanner but it still won't communicate with scanner. Any suggestions.
