Delete it don't worry about oil temps if your using a lower temp thermostat you'll be fine. Get the fitting from gm that's posted in the thread above and a sawzall or air saw and whablam ,clean oil changes and can be done all from underneath. What more can u ask for?

I did this while I was rebuilding my engine and it is awesome. No problems with oil pressure and someone else said it in another thread but oil acts better when warm so I see no issues with this mod. Plus it cleans up the engine bay and makes for less mess when changing oil.
