I think it started its life as a SY then got wrecked, Looks like Al is building it from the inside out!

Don quote me on this but Im pretty sure the truck is made out of several trucks. Started life as a sy but was wrecked or stolen and is being rebuild as Al has time. Cant recall for sure.

I rode in it at GB and it handles like its on rails.

That truck is Al Dustans truck. It is fast as hell. I didn't have a chance to ride in it yet. It has his suspension on it. It started out as a roll over I believe. I think it has his air to air intercooler too. Will definately be a sweet truck when it is all done.

Here is a pic of it before

its being painted radar blue and has tons of parts from other trucks. This is kind of his test truck for all his cool suspension stuff I think.

Has the coil overs too, and man does it handle! In GB He kept blowing his TB hose off I blieve so he couldnt get any good passes in.

Probably something I missed in there...Al?

Okay, here is the story. I bought the truck in 97 from a little rich kid who got drunk and crashed it into a gaurd rail with the speedo peg pasted 120mph. I then started to rebuild it and got it running with half a bodie on it when the trans blew. The truck sat for about a year while I saved for hartman trans and converter. After I put in the trans I started to drive it and the suspension sucked so I decided to redesign it. Well got the prototype suspension on it and did a bunch of testing, but the bodie just wasn't coming out how I wanted so I decided to put a bodie on it. No big deal but then relized the frame lost a lot of rigidity, so I also put a new frame on as well. Well the truck was still on the old frame as of 3 weeks before nationals 01'. I got the new frame, suspension, motor, trans, and body put together in 2.5 weeks for nats. Was not a fun time! I was going to paint the truck radar blue but I am not sure now. I think I am going to change my mind. I don't know. It still has a long way to go before it is done, but will these trucks ever be done? Well that is enough of a story for now.
