Well, I blew my engine yesterday.
Took the truck up to Campbell to go on the dyno. Attempt #2 after I changed the motor mounts and re-did the ignition. It was a monster! On C16 we got 305hp, 511 ft. lbs. of torque, 23psi boost with 25 degrees of timing. 0 knock! It basically took whatever Nolan threw at it.
Got it off the dyno and we took it for a final spin. I did a pull onto the Yellowhead and the engine started making a cracking noise. Knock count went up to 40K. Need less to say we pulled over right there and towed it back to the shop. I ended up taking the Greyhound back to Caglary.
The guys at Campbell are going to help my out though. In three months I should have a stock rebuild stronger then ever and be ready for the track next year. I was even gunning for fastest stock truck _and_ nicest show truck! Oh well.
