Overboost

I 'think' I'm overboosting. I'll describe my problem to you guys, and see if you can virtually diagnose my problem. hehehe.

When I get on the throttle, the truck is really responsive off the line, but when I switch gears, it seems like it bogs down and flutters a little bit until I let off the gas a bit. I can't give it everything it's got, and it sucks because I got beat by a Cadillac STS yesterday 0X

I'm not really sure what I should be looking for except for a leaky vacum line etc. My problem is I don't know which lines are vacum lines and what not. My water pump is leaking right now, and I'm not sure if that could be causing my problem. Oh well. I just want to suck up the knowledge that I know you guys have. Please help!

I tried using the search feature, but I couldn't narrow it down to exactly what I think I need. Your guys' help is appreciated.

It could be overboost. What does you scantool say? :)

There should be a vacuum diagram under the hood. You can use it to trace vacuum lines and inspect for leaks and cracks. Most trucks with any mileage need vacuum line repair.
