Hey I took my TB off, cleaned it all out, removed the old pcv hose and put a filter in place... kinda a neat whistle at first from it under a little boost. i kinda like it... however lately its turning more into a cats howling... is that normal? seriously sounds like the truck is gonna start sobbing. ive put maybe 3 tanks of gas on that pcv filter.... how long do they last?

Did the sound just happen after you put in the filter and took out the PCV system? I know you probably know this, but did you plug all the lines going to the intake track? If so you may want to check for blow-by. Your PCV system would have muffled the sound but when you put in the filter strait onto the valve cover it could have made a noise like that when your under boost making alot of power. Check for blow-by by taking off the oil filler cap and revving it up. I only say this cause it happened to me.

good point...
100% reason to move the intake over is because those fucking tubes are so weak... ill check later today. however, i dont hear the whistle on top of the whine. so thats why im pointing fingers at the pcv filter.
and whos dumbass idea was it to reroute blowby back into the intake... just makes a mess in the turbo/lines/IC/and TB....

i dunno... the oily substance coming out and going back in to the intake, in the past, left residue all inside my x-over, my orange hose, my turbo, the BOV and im sure inside the IC.... my TB was FILTHY!... i had JUST cleaned it with carb cleaner like 2 oil changes ago. soo.... i will test my theroy in a few more weeks... no pvc going to the intake, hopefully no shit all inside my intake.
