Poly Motor Mount Part No?

Well, I mistakenly ordered up the -1114 poly motor mounts for my Sy. I saw this part no on JS Design's install write-up, but I guess they only work with his frame mounts? Called up Jeg's, and they supposedly show no listing for a 4.3.

I know they make them for our application. Can someone give me the Energy Suspension Poly Motor Mount part number? My searches turned up nothing yet.

That was the whole deal behind my frame mounts, as ES doesn't make one, nor did they show interest a couple years ago when they were contacted.

Corbin,

I will be using the ES mounts that Rockford was selling years ago, but it doesn't appear that they R selling them any more. They also sold frame mounts w them, so I assume from that that the stock frame plates don't work. These were ES-3.1114G Poly mounts for Chebbies.

You can check w Rockford, but it looks like your best bet is J&S Design.

Well, I feel like a moron now. I guess JS started building those mounts before I got into sytys, hence I didn't know the story behind them. Guess I'll have to use the stockers then :-?

I will also bring along a set or two with me to ohio meet, just in case someone needs them.

Hey Jeff,
Go ahead and put me down for a set. I really don't need to be spending the extra money, but I like the idea of having those poly mounts installed. The price includes installation, correct?

Todd, myself and Keith installed a set this weekend on Keiths truck.

I left before it was finished, but just as I did on my truck, they wrapped the whole assembly (which included stock shields) with another blanket type stuff. I am fairly confident this will fully solve the problem.

I also noticed ES has a big warning on there instructions that in some applications it is necc. to wrap with header wrap, or similar.

I will bring 2 or more sets with me to ohio. If you have them close to ready to go, I will help also. Getting to be a pro at this now.

Exhaust manifolds removed is required for me to help though.

I picked up a pack of starter heat shield wrap that I'll be using on the mounts, so I hopefully have the melting issue covered.

Since I'm also doing the vortec/412 swap, I've got everything off the truck now- heads, exhaust, radiator, wheelwell, etc. I've also got the driver's side mount off the block. I'll try to have the old mounts and frame mounts off this week. That way come Saturday, I can sit back and watch JS work his intallation magic. I suppose I could help a little, too.

BTW, getting at those motor mount bolts is a real bitch. Not that anything else has been real easy though, either.

I used a turbo blanket and cut it to fit so it goes around 2 times and also put some other insulation under that and also insulation on my stock heat shields. Both of my stock mounts had cracks in them. We also put anti sway bars on. After doing both of them the truck drives ALOT better!!!
