I'll add the story to the garage, This was to be a 2wd clone/tribute that I built for my son, but he changed his mind, went to the big 4wd tahoe. So i wound up keeping it and keeping the power train 4.3 na, and the ty engine I got for it is now going into an 1980 el-camino. I will be adding pics to the conversion forum shortly. wound up spending a bit on the engine rebuild because of the "while i'm doing this, might as well spend some more $$$" I started this project in 2000 and finished it in 2006. I have about 40k on the engine and less on the rest as I rebuilt/replaced damn near everything from bumper to bumper... shoulda just bought a ty...LOL.

backed mine out the garage to wash the dust off and ended up getting a freebie! It was just rain, no hail as it looks in the pics.

my ty after the rack and pinon install

click on the photo and you can see the video. look at the shinny paint.....

vortec heads ported t76 turbo 412 cam rpm headers bs3 rack and pinion intall rpm intercooler 700r4 built 3200 stall and other goodies.....

I used the rubber molding from toyota. they come out of toyota sequoia. they use a fender flare, i really like it because 1st. if you have to take the gladding of your fender it don't look like you made a line around and everybody knows you take the gladding out most of the time you see no paint around the fender. and rust is a killer in this cars .2nd the sun is a killer with the gladding they bend and they dont seat properly so the molding help's so the moulding look perfect.

damn red typhoon, that thing looks sharp on the video''s!!
what have you put between your cladding and body??
i put the stuff in there they use on the old chevy pickups between the fenders. wondering what you used

i need to wash it, i know.
but when i got it it wasn't running so well, so i focused on getting it to run like it should with a pt51
