So the doors are just about ready for paint!
They truck still had a few areas that we found to fix. At this point, its not a 1000 point show car that will win at the next concourse event, but its a pretty darn clean, very unique, and surprisingly quick 1985 Jimmy!
So with the stage we are at now, I think that we'll be seeing color on the truck next week. Unless something drastic pops up... I see blue in my future!

Well, the doors got blocked and primed AGAIN today. The bodywork is now done on the body. Final block on the doors tomorrow and then I need to jamb them and hopefully paint on Thurs or Fri! Wish me luck! I cant WAIT to see color on the truck!!!

I hope so, bu its entirely possible that it may be 2011 for final completion. But I would like to drive it in 2010!
Knock out the door pins and pull the wiring harness. Not too bad.

Im even thinking about putting on the Grand Sport fender emblems. Only $25/ea from GM. How about Tyclone GS? heh

So here is the stock Corvette fuel rail cover that I have sanded smooth and primed.
To install it you need a set of these mounting pins.
As you can see, it doesnt fit with the fuel lines there.
That gives me an excuse to buy a Dremel!
I had to trim both sides. The one side is the regulator, the other side are the lines. A little more trimming and it will be good to go!

Great job Greg. Cant wait to see it all finished.
Are you planning on running the black GS wheels as well?
Also, can you a bunch of pics of the inside of the door handles when finished. Looking for the linkage pictures really.
