does anyone have any opinions regarding whether there is any performance difference between sunoco maximal 116 and vp c16. I have the maximal locally but no vp and was wondering if there would be anyhthing to be gained in trying to order some

C-16 is 117 motor octane, and Sunoco is 114, thats a pretty big difference especially if your considering going all out. People have said in the past that for every octane point you can run another pound of boost safely, even if you can only get an extra 2 psi, your still looking at 2-3 mph.

Yes at lower Octanes in the 95 - 105 R+M/2 range, U might see that kind of a performance gain, but I think it diminishes as U go to higher octanes from there. It is not a linear thing.

the c16 seems to be my favorite choice since its formulated for exactly what we are trying to do. We have played around with F&L 119 octane recently too. Both are pretty good.
