is it possible to replace the radiator support without having to take the whole truck apart?

mainly the fenders.

If anyone has removed and replaced their radiator support and has some tricks, I'd love to hear.

Thanks

it may take some wiggling, but you can do it. you need to remove the bolts at the back of the fender (accessed between the front of the doors and the door jams). leave maybe 1 or 2 bolts in the finders so you can carefully get some wiggle room to remove the radiator support.

i don't think you could do it without removing the rad and all the associated shrouds, etc, but you can do it.

I just removed my core support with out taking the fenders off. It is not easy though and you will have to have stuff removed because the way the support fits behind the fender. I did not have anything in my engine compartment so it was not to bad just had to pull the fender back a little, would not be to hard with 2 people. I would think the radiator, fan shrouds, battery and tray, airbox, and possibly the fenderwells would have to be removed. The biggest problem is the wiring for the lights runs through a hole in the support so you have to unplug all the lights and harness clips and pull it through the hole. You may have a problem with the a/c, I never even thought about that since I don't have it anymore. Whats the reason to take the support off?

You will also have to remove a few of the inner fenderwell bolts, but not all of them. It's more of a pain in the ass then it should be.... the new units don't have the clip nuts on them either so you will have to transfer all of that hardware over to and hell yes, them sum biatches will break in half so you might as well make sure you get a few of each size or just install all new hardware.
