Well, the oil that was removed was pretty nasty. Heavy detonation along side bad Oil and a need for speed don't mix sometimes. That's what I saw when the motor came apart. Now I don't know the driver and nor do I know the condition of the truck or it's change record so who's to say..........
The only way to really determine what motor failure was cause by is having the owner explain the situation that put the motor in it's state.
So like I said I don't really know the full story. I just know the end result. I got to pull a Ty motor apart last night and it felt good to get my hands dirty again.

Hey, was that a PTE 3" DP shown (Pic #5) ? Looks like it rests right down on the Shock tower and sits right next to the rear Upper A bushing. I have heard that Poly bushings there have been melted w the big DP's.
Has anyone melted the stock rubber bushing in that location w the PTE DP ?

yes i know i was bad i was going to get the oil changed down there before i started torwards the miami area but i got lazy and see what happens. the oil is normaly done every 2k-2500 but since it was 1300 miles one way(from my home) i kind of forgot. oh well at least i get a new motor, cam, and the vortecs now. i guess that is one way of looking at it.
i have to say a BIG thank you to christian and jordon for all there help and for pulling me out of a jam like that, i don't know what i would have done if it were not for them. again thank you.
also must thank morgan for the offer of help, and yes i am back in nj although i don't know why. 26 out today not any lower then 75 while i was in fl. emmm maybe i will move down there.
