Daron's truck is here, he won't notice missing cladding.

Not sure on rod knock yet.

If he is using stock 4.3 Journal sizes, I could send you a few bearing from my stock shortblock, I was going to replace them anyways. :)

I got my dad's old truck home once by putting gear lube in the oil to bring up the pressure. Thinking about trying that.

My inlaws bought a Honda Civic for their son. My girlfirend/wife borrow it for a awhile and I did her a favor and changed the oil. After I did that she drove it home, called me up and said it was a lot faster. I was puzzle by that. The next day she call me up and it smoked like you wouldn't beleive.

lol. so that stuff was on it before the oil was changed?

well if it was old oil and a vtec motor...it might not have been able to engage. Honda motors love fresh oil

Its wasn't a vtec. I imagine it got very little fresh oil in its life, since they bought it 78K miles and I did the oil change at 83K miles.
