Applejuice, how much was your cage if you dont mind sharing.

This price of 800 was quoted by chassis enginering, i think they have built more race car chassis stuff than any other company out there, i could be wrong .

my cage is a 4 pt bolt in custom built bolt in by moroso. cost me 600 bucks. they had told me 400-600 but when they broke their boss's windshield in his s10 doing a test fit of mine they had to charge me the full 600. If the track every breaks my stones about it i will add the removeable door piecs and weld it to the frame. Right now it bolts to the floor. but last time i was there a tech the guy says "he i see you added a cage since you were ast here" i told him nah that was done a year ago. I
dont think they will ever ask me again about it.

The way i did mine was i made a mock up out of cardboard tube, then filled it with rhino lining so it wouldnt get damaged in shipping.

I think moroso "now" might have a model for the s10 body we use.

Ed, for the cage to be NHRA legal it would have to come through the back window and connect right above the axle, or do you have the rear bars already?

for street driven i didnt do nhra legal. I have rear loop, top loop, and 2 front legs.
I do not have removable door sections. And it is only bolted in.

I recall a month ago reading about cages in the summit nhra rule book.
i dont have the link.

As i recall they can pass you without the rear legs going thru the bulkhead into the bed. I dont recall the link but it was for summit nationals nhra. I assume what i was reading was a reprint of the nhra rulebook.

which means for me to make mine nhra legal i get the removable door pieces, add underside reinforcment and weld to frame.

I m not sure but from what i read simply welding into the floor may also be acceptable as imports weld to the floor since they have no frame.

I allwas wonder what happens with rubber or poly body mounts if you have a cage welded to the frame. What happens where the pipe passes thru? anyway thats my 2 cents.
btw i think my rollcage is about the coolest thing i ever added to my daily driver. now i just need to get my 11sec motor done.....couple months.....
