RPM vs. Speed

I've posted this question before, but didn't quite get the answer I expected so I try it here one more time and see if you guys can help me. I've not driven my Ty for about a year now. It has quite a few "works" done to the engine and transmission. I've recently got the Ty back to brake it in. Everything is beyond what I expected, but one thing bother me is the rpm vs. the speed. At 80mph cruising, the rpm is 3,000, is it about right?? What is the rpm on a stock Sy/Ty at 80 mph? Thanks for your help!!

Via my calculations, you should be at 2600rpm at 80mph, in OD and TC locked.
You should be at 86mph at 4000rpm in 3rd with TC locked.

That is assuming you have stock gearing & tire size.

If your TC is unlocked at 80mph in OD, you'd realize a slight slippage, probably 200-400rpm. So it is worth investigating that possibility. Maybe a nonlockup converter was installed? Get the lowdown, let us know.
