from the fan spacers I've worked with latly you need to take them to a machinist and have them trued up as they are all out of round and not square. not even close.

Yep, we learned that at Scotts house the last time we did the pump :rotf: For some reason now, its really gotten bad.

After the trans issue is delt with, i'll be looking into going to a single electric fan setup, possible the recall volvo deal everyone has been raving about.

I didnt like the dual SPALs that chromeboy had, pulled way to many amps, plus they werent the lightest things. Worked great...but weighed on the charging system alot.


Crap, i just got a great idea. Waller... fly down here to Lakeland Regional... we can just put the trans in the plane and you can fly back with it. Put the plane rental and gas on your companies dime... say you need to brush up on your cross country flight planning. :tup: Plus, good excuse to log some hours.

ya. I'll do that when guys start paying 10k for trannies. fuel alone for that trip would be close to 3k. and BTW I get plenty of cross country time every night. just think in one night I go from home to jax, cincinatti, dallas, cinncinatti, atlanta, charlotte and back home. and thats a regular night when nothing goes wrong. you should see what happens on a long night.

I know ima up north guy but how far is Valdosta ,Georgia from Jackson NC? ill be there in july visting a cousin i might have my truck with me if it stays together long enough (i do my own work lol) it would give me a good chance to meet some of other guys that i annoy on the phone (john) and others

A seven year campusology degree from GSU and he finally gets to say that! I forgot what it was like to have people ask me what the tag on the front of the Gypsy means.....answered that question 50 times since I got your truck.

The track (Jackson, SC) is about 1.5 hrs from me and Valdosta is about 3 hrs from me, so 4.5-5 hrs. Valdosta is in far South Georgia (almost on the GA-FL border) and Jackson is near the SC-GA border. Mapquest reports 302 miles.

Nail down a date so that I can see if I have it off or can take it off. That would be about a 4 hour drive for me, not to bad.

well it kinda goes like this, fly all night sleep about 2-4 hrs in the morning and work on trucks till it's time to go flying again.

hmm, 378 miles miles one way makes 756 miles round trip. Dually gets 12mpg with typhoon on the back of it. Wow, that will be expensive. If I can make it, I will just see you guys in the vette again.
