Shock tower gussets for people with coilovers

Well, with the stock a-arm coilover setup thats about to be a popular mod, i was thinking i'd probably want to strength the shock tower a little bit. So i made some gussets. They are pretty close to right on...just need to modify the design a little bit. I'll have to try them on a complete truck to make sure nothing is in the way. But it looks like a pretty cheap way to strengthen the shock towers :tup:

and yes they're designed to not interfere w/ the shock bolt.

and no, the final ones won't be made of aluminum. :lol:

Ill take a set is it possible to have them made from 3/8 plate? I was working on something like this but you made it easier for me

yes i can do 3/8" mild. Just know that you'll have to grind down the edge to sit snug on the shock towers since i'll be waterjetting them.

What about positioning...do the locations in the pics suit your needs?

Personally I would leave the bottoms a little extra long so that people could "fit" them to each chassis

great idea, and i'd recommend installing these with the motor out to fully weld them on both sides. they wont do much good with a small weld just on the outer side.
