Re: Smoooooke

it can be a bunch of stuff doing that realy.

oil supply line to turbo, oilpressure sendding unit, remote filter housing oillines, dist. gasket. Valve cover seals, blockoffplate for Feulpump if they installed a replacement engine somewhere that needed one.

i also think it's the best to find somebody that has a carlift or so, so you can check it from the bottem.

Re: Smoooooke

Yeah the lines from the oilfilter were sitting on the flange for the crossover pipe even though they were bolted to the retaining bracket. I moved them and started it up again and it didnt seem like thats where the leak was caused. I guess ill go ahead and yank the chiller and see whats goin on up there.

Also check your power steering hose. After I fix my oil filter ad. 1 month later I had another leak and it turn out to be my power steering pump going bad, it wasn't making noise yet, but the fluid was dark like engine oil.

had an extremely similar problem with oil leaking in that exact area. There is a bracket that holds up the oil cooler lines right next to the power steering pump. The moron that had the truck before neglected to connect it, and the metal oil line rubbed against the crossover pipe, causing a tiny hole to form. The line looked fine, but leaked after the truck warmed up. I had to remove the lower IC and start the truck up on jackstands to find it. I'd double-check those lines...

EXACTLY. I got under there and disconected the lines on both ends and this is what i found..

Ive gotten some fittings and enough steel line to replace the entire section. My question is HOW the hell do i get the lines out of there? Ive disconected them on each end and it seems damn near impossible to yank it out. Any suggestions?
