OOH good question as I was planning on using solid motor mounts too. I have solid mounts in my 67rs and dont use solid mounts on my th400 (no problems) ... but I know its different ---

you have to make one fit they used to make one for a 3rd gen camaro that the same mount , just get a energy susp poly and call it done

uh, i always thought it was the opposite. if you install solid motor mounts, you DON'T install a soid transmission mount. the solid motor mounts will tie the motor to the frame, but the rubber trans mount will allow some movement of the whole motor/trans assembly. if you did both solids, there's no "give" in the assembly.

I put solid engine mounts in the wife's Typhoon with some hesitation because I realy thought it'd make for a big horse power vibrator and replace me.
It's actualy the solid mounts are fine. I used the energy suspension trans mount and it's been doing it's job no problems.
