Re: Solo Question

Thanks for all of the responses, the main takeaway for me is spend the time to learn the track and provide feedback to the officials if you feel that there is a risk. Ultimately, if I'm not comfortable I don't have to run.

The AutoX wrecks that I see online must be the minority and due to not following the SCCA guidelines.

This summer should be fun.

Most clubs have a novice group that I highly recommend doing a few times. You'll be able to have instructors ride along with you and give you pointers and/or even drive your truck with you in the passenger seat if you so wish. In my local club, if you end up winning the novice class, you get an automatic bump into your real class from that point on since you have proven that you are capable of driving with technique and can be competitive with your class.

If you can, gopro yourself driving. You will learn a ton from it and be able to correct mistakes you see. Find the regulars and ask questions....they usually will be more than happy to lend some tips.

Solo Question

I'm signing up for our local club January 6th. It's a little pricey compared to drag racing but I'm sure I will get attached regardless. Racing is march 1-2, if all goes well I should have a go-pro mounted. I need to film me compared to my boss in his new zl1. Anyone use the gtech RR to trap lap times?
