I know that i have a Mitsubishi 17C stock turbo that have a TD-06 compressor housing and a 8cm turbine housing, my question is do i have a TD-06 or TD-05 turbine wheel? The reason i'm asking is b/c i have a new TD-06 20G with a 5 degree clipped TD-05 turbine wheel and was wondering if it will work in a turbine housing made for a TD-06 wheel? If stock Sy turbine wheel is a TD-06?

Thanks a bunch

your have a tdo6 turbine housing and turbine wheel...if you have a 20g then it has a TDO6H 14 cm exhaust housing...are you sure you have a 20 G with a TDO5 wheel..and why is it a TDO5 wheel..that makes no sence...it wont drive that compressor hard enough and do you have the TDO5 housing to go with your TDO5 wheel? if not then no they wont interchange

if it's off a dsm then your going to have to change the turbine wheel and exhaust housing..TDO5 is way too small for our motors. you will want to find a 14cm exhaust housing and a tdo6H turbine wheel...texas turbo hooked e up..and turbo specialties changed mine out..

I know i have to change the housing, but i thought of reusing my stock Sy turbine housing? Why a 14cm, isen't a 10cm or 12cm big enough for a daily driven truck with a 20G? I'm not looking for 10's in the 1/4.
Where can i find the best deals on bigger turbine houses for our Sy/Ty. I'm also going to e-mail FP where i got the 20G from and see how much they want to upgrade it to a TD-06 turbine wheel and bal it.

Swede,

You can choose 10cm or 12cm. 12cm could be the best, but it's hard to find. And I'm not sure, but might read somwhere it's not a direct swap.

With 10cm, the gain is not so much compared to the stock unit. With 14cm you need a different TC.

BTW, you are not in the danger of receiving a 10 sec timeslip with a 20g. AFAIR there's no 11 sec truck with this turbo. Close, but not there.

Happy New Year,
