Thats a sweet rod, love the orange tangerine paint and of course the Sy engine. :D
There's another Syclone powered street rod out there. I wish I had some pic's. Actually I do have one somewhere, just have to find it and get it scanned. I had seen it at a local show about 2 years ago. Man was it nice. It was a '40s (?) Chevy (I think) 2 door coupe, full custom, frenched in door handles along the body line was a real nice touch, all black, Sy engine, Sy wheels, paint job about 10 miles deep with some sweet ghost flames that you could only see if you happened to be in the right light at the right angle. Real nice leather interior, sound system, the works.
I'll try to dig up the pic and get it scanned.

i have a pic of the other sy powered street rod.... i'll see if i can dig it up.

i gotta say, other than being in a real syty...that is the damn best way ive ever seen a sy motor used. car is beautiful... the custom seats are trick.

i bet most people dont have a clue on what they are looking at when they see this thing....

Nats is 2 weeks out... any slight chance of convincing the owner to come? Maybe next year?

Whats the drivetrain on this thing?

I dont know who owns that street rod, try contacting anyone in the Sportmachines website team, thats where I found the pics. Yes it does look badass, I dont know If any of you guys remember but a syclone in europe raced a street rod like the one on the top and won, I believe the street rod had a 502 in it I think, but imagine now that it has a sy powerplant

That Retro Rod is unique on so many levels

1) Excellent craftsmanship
2) Different color scheme
3) Unusual powertrain choice(no SBC,or SMF)
4) Proudly displaying "Syclone" on the seats

Very Kewl, indeed!

Hmmm, prolly not AWD, though...

anyone have an idea what something like that would weigh? I wonder what it would run in the 1/4. Prolly faster then a sy if it weighs less. Id imagine he changed the tranny and it would have a good top speed. Wonder how it launches. Man I wanna see this thing in person. Noone knows who he is? We should get him to post on here and give us the scoop. Wonder how hard it was?

That is one the nicest things i have seen in a long time. I like how he did the engine with the Intercooler painted to match the vehicle and everything, very clean.

Wow!! That is one fresh ride!! So nicely done. I love how he got "Syclone" in the seats. It's little touches like that that make things special.
IMO, the Prowler shoulda been more like this.

Intercooler looks like it was massively worked over trying to get it to fit the engine bay. Looks like it still just barely touches the fender. Most of the outside edge was shaved off and a new inlet put on.

No differential in the front, no drive axels. Definitely 2wd.

A car like that won't see 1/4 mile use. Rubber would be everywhere.

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Wonder how he ran all the vac and wiring for all the sensors?

Black Ice was the old style coupe with full AWD SyTy drivetrain.

Quadraduece was the recently rebuilt by Troy Designs AWD roadster with SyTy transfer case & front drivetrain thats about it.
It was on the Hot Rod power Tour.
