Re: Sunroof

Are you simply making a statement or asking for suggestions to fix it :dunno:. If the latter, people highly attest to flex-seal but you'd essentially spray your entire roof and not be able to open the sunroof again. If you spray the whole truck, it should float.

Sorry. I really need to solve its problem and don't want to ruin syclone seats. Is there a way to solve its problem? New gasket? I've looking for one but can't find. Man it sucks!

Lol syclone gonna be boat? Haha don't think so but is there any way to fix its problem with the leak?

Re: Sunroof

Buy a replacement sunroof? Fix the problem permanently and weld the roof back together...popup roofs are cheap/lazy/80s style sunroofs

Re: Sunroof

Where are you located? A quality shop should be able to install a new complete unit installed in its place.

I'm from Council Bluffs, Iowa by Omaha, Nebraska. Really? So no replacement for it? I should check around the shop.

Re: Sunroof

For a replacement, you will either have to find out what the model and manufacturer is, contact a glass company to see if they have a seal that would work or just have a different one put in.

They weren't stock from the factory so it's not like someone can just give you a part number to try and find.

Ahh I see sucks, wish it has no sunroof. Chop it off and install another s10 roof and weld? Anybody done it?

My buddy had his s series pickup roof reskinned from hail damage. You could always use some permatex sealant to maybe help.

Re: Sunroof

I would take the headliner down and see which seal leaks. It could be the one from the sunroof to the top and you should be able to remove the whole thing and either replace or try to reinstall it with windshield sealer. If it is rubber seal to the glass, I think you would have to contact the manufacturer.

Re: Sunroof

I just checked the 91-93 S/T parts manual and there are GM part numbers listed for "1991 S/T Roof Hardware/Vista Vent (AD3)" The problem is your sunroof may be aftermarket so these parts may not fit your sunroof. Another option would be to try bulk universal weatherstripping and cut it to fit.

Re: Sunroof

Windshield urethane. The guys at KD auto glass next door would give me half used tubes in the event I had some sort of leak to fix on whatever I was working on at the time. You get only one chance with the stuff, and when it cures, have fun getting it off! Also, wear gloves- it sticks to everything.
