Re: Sy doesnt feel as fast as stock ty

Yes you are already past the point of easily returning to stock. Looks like you are going to have to learn how to work on a modded SyTy. They are great and can be scary fast when you get them dialed in. The time and expense keeping them that way is the not so fun part.

That's how I feel after getting the L35's and your 412 in.

I'm not even going WOT and and the damn thing is a blast now, not that it was a slouch before but.... DAMN!

You can gently pull the old MAP off and tell us the number on the bottom of it.

Numbers are on the top. Don't have to touch it to read them.

From a SyO237 post in 2006:

1 Bar: 039, 460, 883
2 Bar: 886, 012, 539, 609
3 Bar: 749

As for a bigger that stock turbo you may be
having some boost lag down low or your
tune is leaning out as Ryan mentioned ....

Dave, Checked my MSD one out and it has no markings on top, and none underneath (that I could see).

I figured being it's larger, it's not going to spool as fast as the stocker. But I just feel that theres something else going on, hence why I posted a topic.

If you solve your tuning issues then install the two step
launch controller this will give you a jump start better
than a stock SYTY ...

Well then I'm obviously a f ucking liar and don't know what the f uck I'm talking about. You sure schooled DaveP, feel better now?

I'm not a mind reader, how am I suppeosed to know you have a MSD?. Who uses a MSD MAP anyway? I didn't even know MSD made one. Even if it was free, I wouldn't use MSD shit. It's crap.
Every god damn Delco MAP I've looked at for the past 25 years has the number on the top, though. AND, I''ve never replaced a Delco MAP for being faulty.

Sorry Dave, I didn't mean any harm by it, I was just relaying what I found on mine. No offense meant, as I wasn't even aware of the stockers having topside marking.

Just trying to help out as best I'm able to.
