Re: sy rotting away

A few years ago I had a similar situation but rather then a Sy it was a late 60s Boss Mustang. Was a complete car, could of easliy worked with it. Problem was, the owner would of rather seen it sit and rot. Matter of fact, it's still sitting in the same yard, every month getting worse and worse...Good luck

Re: sy rotting away

it's a shame that there's not some kind of law against vehicles that just sit in someone's yard and not being driven. I know some cities have that law - but it needs to be in the rural areas as well - that would definitely free up some of these classic/collector vehicles...or get the owner's ass in gear to fix 'em up and put them on the road some.

I would just wait until he kicks the bucket and offer who's left to haul it away for free...

You hit a nerve here.
Those people own the vehicles, and can let them rot if that is what they choose.
It is a shame to let a rare/classic vehicle become a worthless pile, but, if I don't own it I really can't do anything about it.
I prefer the city/township/government keeping their nose out of my yard. and off of my property!:squint:
I live on 10 acres in a rural setting. When I built my house and barn they told me I couldn't store cars in the barn!
Couldn't have more than 3 licensed vehicles in the driveway.
Doesn' matter that it can't be seen from the road? BS:rant:

Sorry for the rant, but as I started this post......You hit a real sore spot here.

You sound like some bleeding heart Liberal with your statement . There are enough of these Lacking Normal Intelligence laws on the books now that need to be gotten rid of :rant:. If you want it that way, move to some other country that is already screwed up . I happen to live in the rural area that has this law and it is really jack up. Incase you are wondering you struck a nerve here too :2cents:.

Re: sy rotting away

I hope the owner of the truck decides to burn it to the ground, and I'd love to see the video of it.

It's his truck, he can do whatever he wants.
