Syclone in Boardman, OH 9/22

Went by it as it was backing out of a parking place in front of a strip mall on route 224 at 5:00 PM Saturday evening. It was missing a centercap and I didn't see the plate to determine if it was from OH or PA (Boardman is right on the border). I would have stopped but, I wasn't driving...

My Syclone was in Boardman on 9/21. Saw one other Sycone that day.

8:30ish. I took the grand tour of Boardman, Austintown, Struthers and a few other small towns. Couldn't find anywhere decent to eat. On the bright side I put the most miles on my Syclone that it's seen in three years with no problems.

I'd recognize Mike's, but probably not the other way around. He's not used to seeing mine out of the garage where it lived in a cocoon of stuff piled around, on, under and in it.

On the other hand, the Syclone I saw idled well and did not require any two footed driving, so it probably wasn't Mike's.

your tonneau cover sets yours off from the 'typical' syclone though....and i know how mike pays attention to details.

Funny you should mention that stupid cover. That tonneau cover is going to get shot with a mini-14 pretty soon. I hate it. I'm going with a custom bed cover this winter.

heh, at least sell it on here. I know others like that thing.

The entertainment value of shooting it is greater than what it's worth.

Shooting sources of aggravation with BIG guns is BIG fun! I highly recommend it, it has kept me sane all these years

Hey, what does your syclone look like? Mine is black with a 2" fiberglass cowl hood that has "syclone" on both sides of the cowl in red...

My Syclone is 4 shades of black/brown with a fiberglass hood and painted cladding. Repaint is happening this winter.

I couldn't agree more. I had the 45/70 govt. pistol out last week. Punched some paper (all shots touching at 100 yards), then shot water bottles. Finally to practice offhand I shot clays offhand at 50 yards. Better than a 50% hit rate. I'm ready to tackle the 2.8 v6 block sitting in my garage.

Do you handload by any chance?

i could prolly ransack the machine shop for some spare pistons, rods, blocks, heads, valves, cams, etc...for some shooting practice. we could make a car part shootout meet out of it.

Heads (unless they are aluminum), cams, cranks and valves aren't very interesting, but we can shoot them anyways so you can judge for yourself.

Call me sometime and we can make plans.
