Syclone on Fort Stewart, GA

Not really a sighting on my part, but one of the soldiers that works for me saw this Syclone in a barracks parking lot on post last week. Anyone on the forum? Anyone know who it might be?

Saw the Syclone for myself today. Left him a note and the last 4 on the VIN is 1149.

Re: Syclone on Fort Stewart, GA

Mike - that's mine...I got your note today on my Sy. I just recently got to Stewart and been busy. That picture is when I left it in our unit's parking lot until I closed on my house and could park it in the garage out in Richmond Hill.

I'm Jay btw.... How many Sy/Ty'ers do we have in the area?

Re: Syclone on Fort Stewart, GA

Hey, Jay! Was on the way in to a motorcycle ride my brigade was having and had to do a quick turnaround when I saw your Sy. We got Hood out in Ellabell and TyphoonX lives pretty much right around the corner from me in the Allenhurst area. There was another soldier on post with an all white Ty, but neither me nor TyphoonX have heard much of anything from him lately. TyphoonX said that guy mentioned something about going back home, so he may have gotten out of the Army. SyTy Jim is out in Pooler and owned a Sy and a Ty before he sold them both to pursue his Corvette bug. LOL He's making rumblings about buying his Ty back, though. We'll see.

BTW, I saw you heading out towards the back gate when I was heading home from my unit after the ride was over. Hope you didn't mind me putting that note under your wiper. I made sure not to disturb your truck where you mighta taken offense to someone touching it. LOL

Nah, I don't mind at all...i'm always down to meet other Sy/Ty'ers. I don't drive the Sy that often (just over 89k on the odometer)...but figure I should roll it out today before the raining weather came in for the weekend. Do you know of a good tuner in the area? I bought a snow methanol kit awhile back and couldn't find anyone close by up in North Carolina to put it on. I thought I had found one performance shop to do it...but they backed out after I dropped my truck off. Figures, they were a predominantly "Mustang" shop.

Hood does some tuning from what TyphoonX tells me. I saw TyphoonX on 95 awhile back when I was headed back towards Stewart. He was driving his Ty and he said Hood helped him dial his truck in.

Hey Jay, its great to see more SyTyers out here in FS. I cant believe it, but its going to be 2 years that I sold both my Ty and Sy...time sure does fly!!

Hey Mike, still thinking about it! Not sure though to be honest.

We have plenty more than that. In just a 75 mile radius we have:

- Dunwoody
- Hood
- Pope
- Mark
- Sam
- Scott
- Mike
- Gian
- Jay
- Jimmy
- Clay

Beyond that we have a pile more up in North GA (Mark W, Mike M, Jeremy W, etc...). Most of our members are only rarely active, but some of that has to do with me not planning more get-togethers (though we did just have the Shindig).

I do still do tuning. Just having our second child has given me so much more time that I can tune any day of the week. Seriously, time is scarce but I'll be happy to help any local guys tune (or better yet, teach you how to tune).

Damn, I forgot about Pope up in Milledgeville, but I didn't realize there were that many in what I consider a local radius. I may have to take you up on learning how to tune my truck. I saw TyphoonX coming outta Richmond Hill one afternoon and he romped on it...WOW!

I'd like to chat with you one day on where to begin with my Sy....ultimately, I'd like to have a 600+ hp lil monster.
