I was told at the track this year that anything 11.99 and under needed a jacket, and I just read this on turbo buick. EDIT: I know they changed helmets to 11.49 so it would make sense that jackets changed too...

"All drivers currently required to SFI Spec 3.2A/1 fire jackets will now also be required to wear SFI Spec 3.2A/1 fire pants"

I don't understand though how they can expect you to meet all the rules when they wont publish them online. I couldnt find any solid information for either NHRA or IHRA rules with a google search, just a lot of forum jabbering.

I don't have the current book but based on last year's you have to have a single layer jacket if you have ANY non stock turbo or supercharger. Non stock turbos like we run require a jacket period. OEM turbo or charger no jacket until you reach the ET requirements. ET wise I believe it's 11.49 and quicker then it's double layer and a roll bar. Not sure about the pants but they come in quickly. BTW helmets required 13.99 and quicker. This is at NHRA tracks. It's been a awhile since I read the book so maybe I'm wrong but I'm close.

You have to be an NHRA member to access the new rules online I believe. Although they are prolly out there somewhere.

But does that mean non stock as in the vehicle didnt come from the factory with a turbo / supercharger? I wouldnt assume that to mean an upgraded factory system, but a completely aftermarket add-on.

I see I typed helmet for 11.49 i meant roll bar. (asleep at the wheel)

As I understand it, yes. For example the Eldelbrock supercharger kit which looks like a factory setup would require a jacket. Stock Sy running slower that 11.49 no jacket.

OK I looked it up in the 2010 book. (online) 10.00 to 13.99 non-OEM supercharged or turbocharged: Jacket that meets SFI 3.2A/1

There's a bunch more but I think that covers this purchase.

FYI Helmets are required 10.00 to 13.99 open or closed face meeting Snell M2000, M2005, M2010, K2005, SA2000, SA2005, SFI 31.1A, 31.1/2005, 31.2, 41.1A, 41.1/2005, or 41.2A

Got that? There will be a test on Monday.

These are the logos I think they look pretty good. She is going to make my jacket this week so I should see it mid next week and once that is good we will officially open the gp for orders.

She also said she has t-shirts like these she would put the logo on for 10 bucks instead of 25 (WHITE ONLY)

also she said that stitching color was no big deal either just let her know when ordering.

I like... but might as well ask.... can she outline Syclone in black as well or is that extra cost?

Either way... but figured I'd throw it out there if it was possible.

I don't think she has the logo for her set up

I asked about the out line but she kinda acted like that was the only she would be able to do it other than color

I will ask her about the names
