Re: T-Bone VS JSM where should it be settled
Oh, I see. We wouldn't classify numerous and unwarranted attacks by Jeremy as arrogant, would we??? We wouldn't classify belittling someone elses vehicles as arrogant, would we??? We wouldn't classify volunteering others 7 states away to take care of our business as arrogant, would we??? We wouldn't classify starting a poll to create more chaos as arrogant, would we???
I simply respond to the foolishness some of you start and the finger comes my way as arrogant. Call it what you want.....when you can't own what someone else does, it is easy to call them arrogant and to find a hundred other things wrong with them. It's too bad the mature, successful guys that I know shy away from this forum but I am starting to see why. Young guys know how to dish it out but they come up wanting on taking it like a champ. Pout all you want and label me what you want.....line up some track time with me and YOU (not all your wanna-be's in "spec" this and that car) and I'll dish out more than you will ever be able to stomach. Some of what Doc Hoover said is beginning to make sense now although I didn't see it a year ago.
Dude, Seriously?!?!?
Let me break it down a little further so you understand.
1. My reference to a Spec Miata, and an ITS RX7 were in terms of me borrowing a race prepped vehicle for us to compete in. You make 5 laps, I make 5 laps, compare the times, decide a victor, and then go drink some beers. You have again completely and totally missed the point, and started lashing out again. Just because you don't understand what I'm talking about doesn't infer that I'm attempting to have someone else run in my place. You're also proving how little you've been around a race track, as these are two of the most popular classes in SCCA road racing.
2. You are FAR FAR FAR more arrogant than Jeremy ever will be. He doesn't brag about what he has. He doesn't throw his success in the face of others. We're glad you're successful, we're glad you can afford some of the finer things in life. Jeremy has far more racing trophies on his wall than I think you comprehend. Not to mention, he garners professional racing positions as well. PROFESSIONAL, that means he gets paid to race. He's yet to mention that, EVER. I'd wager he has more wrapped up in his truck/trailer/race car than most of your cars combined. Oh yea, I suppose being a well respected small business owner isn't worth talking about either. Again, he has NEVER mentioned any of this. You know why? He's a humble guy that can stand on his accomplishments, and not have to belittle those around him by throwing his successes in their face. You should take a lesson, and learn to discuss things a little more maturely before you go trying to call the kettle black.......Again.
3. Taking it like a champ. Wow, what a completely asinine statement. We've offered a few solutions to settle this, and you've offered a few. A couple more iterations of that, and we'll figure something out. I don't think ANY of us "northerners" have backed down at any point. In what way have we failed to "take it like a champ"? If you stopped acting like an ass for a few minutes, thought about what you are saying before you say it, then you could probably avoid ignorant comments like this in the future.
4. I have to tell you, I've been in some heated arguments before on the internet. The one between Morgan and I about the 5spd in a Sy/Ty was a good example. It got BAD for awhile. Lots of bickering like this for weeks and weeks. I went to my first nationals with Jeff, and immediately tracked what I thought was "that A-hole" down, introduced myself, and began the argument all over again. After about 5 minutes, we had it settled, and were off to drink a beer and shoot the breeze over other such car related madness. I hope one day we meet the same scenario, however I have to admit, at this point I'm not sure it'll be worth it, if all I'm going to here about is how much better you and your car are than me and my car. Maybe you'll start bringing some good points to your arguments, and we can move forward, but as it stands now we aren't going to have a lot to discuss
