TCI Controller Issues

Hi All,

I'm having issues with my transmission overheating because the convertor isn't locking up, I've verified my wiring and everything is fine, it's either the harness or the TCI computer itself. I know the convertor isn't locking as we've rigged a ground wire straight to the transmission and with the flip of a switch it is locking up/unlocking. The wiring schematic says it is the white wire in the harness that is controlling lock up but it obviously isn't working. My next question is can anyone who is running the TCI with a 4L80e verify which actual pin on the TCI box is responsible for lock up? I'm wondering if the white wire is simply not making it to the correct pin out. Thanks!

It's the white wire that's labeled "TCC". You can plug it either into the 60e line or the 80e line. You have to make sure it's in the "80e" line. If you look at the connector, there are raised letters and numbers. The position is "X3" where it enters the box itself. Remember, you were supposed to break that connection with something that will intermittently break the connection when stepping on the brake to allow the TC to unlock on braking. 99% chance that the circuit isn't being completed for one reason or another. Remember when the harness was ripped apart by the prop? All of that will have to be repaired.

Thanks George...I know were using the 80e line so that's not it...I'll check to make sure the white wire is going to X3. Harness is fixed where it got damaged by the prop.
