it was the injectors(thank G*D), but I have another question-OVER BOOSTING-I always here about it with these trucks, how does this happen? is it because the the trannys slip or what? Thanks again (very exited)
overboosting happens cause the stock chip is calibrated to only read up to 14.7 psi. GM/PAS or whoever, programed the chip to basically "shut down" if 14.7 psi was exceeded cause for the normal joe who buys one, if things arent running the way they should be, high boost pressure can do bad stuff to your motor, so basically its a safety precaution. Most aftermarket chips resolve this low overboost problem, just make sure you stay away from the Kenne Bell chips.
If you do experience overboost, the truck will basically die for a few second, then go back to normal. A few seconds later, the Check Engine light will come on then go off about 10 seconds later. You will now have a code 31 stored in your ECM, but it will not change or harm anything.
Common causes of overboost are: removal of cat and/or improperly adjusted wastegate rod
